Default Commute Time from Cedar Gap Estates/Gurley to Research Park

I was interested if anyone know knew of a rough idea of commute times from Cedar Gap Estates near Cedar Run Lane to Research Park? Also any ideas on how it would play out if our children went to Madison County Elementary in Gurley?

In others words, mapquest says from Cedar Run to Research Park would be 20 mins and 16 miles. If we had to go from Madison County Elementary (after dropping the kids off) it would be 23 miles and 26 minutes.

So adding this time up, it would be 6 mins to drop the kids off, then 26 minutes to work. How reasonable is this commute time? I typically go in to work anywhere from 6AM to 8AM and leave from 5PM to 7PM (just like most other people, unfortunately)

Thanks so much!

You might want to go out there one morning and drive in during that time. The industrial park/chapman mountain area of 72 just before the interstate turns into a parking lot and has wrecks all the time during the rush hours. You could be looking at 15 to 20 minutes just to get through that area during normal rush hour and if you throw in a wreck you could be looking at at least 30 minutes. Listen to the radio in the morning and pay attention to how much they mention chapman mountain during the traffic reports.

I would also suggest visiting the school before enrolling your kids and see if it is a fit for you.
