We are intersted in any input on the Edgewater Community on Lady Ann Lake in Madison City. Hopefully the [stinkin'] budgets get approved soon and we can proceed with our move plans to the Madison City area. We ran across new development on Carriage Hill and are intersted in building as well.

Any input is much appreciated!

That wasn't the Edgewater lake - it was captured in the small lake in the adjoining community.

There are alligators on the Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge and have been for years. It's not surprising there is (at least) one in that area. And where there's one, there are bound to be more.

Then there's another: my son and I saw this last summer while fishing in it.

I'm from FL, I know what an alligator looks like.

I'm from Edgewater, I know what an alligator looks like - I also know what not-an-alligator looks like.

We looked at Edgewater 2 years ago because I liked the look of trees and the feel of the neighborhood. We didn't end up there because the homes were way over priced. I am sure that has changed now with the market the way it is. We looked at a house that still had popcorn ceilings and needed alot of work and the owners wouldn't budge. We also looked at the new homes in Carriage Hill. At the time, way overpriced also and too near that road with loud traffic. At least they were newer. One caution, if you want Madison CITY you need to be very careful. The neighborhood is not all Madison city - it is also Huntsville. One negative for us also was Zierdt Rd. I understand that will be widened so that would be better.

We have friends that bought there. Their home is really nice, although they said it needed some work when they bought it. I was startled to find that they all have propane tanks.
