Agreed, the past couple times we have gone, Joe has not been there and it has left us slightly unimpressed. The last time we were in there, Joe was there, but spent the whole night out in the dining area swooning some customers/friends and we were left with an average to slightly below-average meal and service. I really wanted to say something to him, but figured not going back would maybe make a bigger impact. Maybe we'll try it again sometime in the future, but the meals and service are just too inconsistent (at least in our personal experience) to gamble $40+.

We were used to catching Joe, "back in the day," when he was at Tortora's and actually in the kitchen and we always got a delicious and consistent meal.

Same here - it seems face-to-face communication is dying-out. The only thing worse than a room full of TVs is trying to converse with someone who is staring into their "smart" phone and texting away.

I'm only 25 and I couldn't agree more with this statement.

I hate how just about every place has to be a sports bar with a couple of TVs to survive.

Remember Indigo Joe's? They advertised having over 40 Flat Screens!
I ate there once, the TV's were there to distract you from the under par food.

The Sicilian in Arab makes a good pizza. The dough is hand tossed and he makes his own sauce. He has one pizza that has a lb of whatever it is huge but not cheap either. Everything else is very reasonable.

Chris is from Greece but makes a lot of Italian food including handmade cannoli

Keeper - technical question.

Is the pizza round, but cut into squares?

We just got home from Pie in the Sky. The pizza was good (though the sauce was a little sweeter than we like) and we enjoyed the atmosphere but we're going to wait a while then go back and try it again.

Our son ordered boneless chicken bites but was brought a basket of wings. Our waitress asked him if he could go ahead and eat those but he told her he much preferred the boneless ones. She came back and said that she found out they did cook the wrong dish (which we knew) and that he'd have to wait about 10 minutes for his original order. My husband and I had one of their signature pizzas but asked to replace the mushrooms with olives. When the pizza came out, there were no mushrooms but no olives, either. When we got the check the waitress told us to check to make sure only one chicken dish was on it. There wasn't, but it did include a charge for the olives. It would have been nice to know there be a charge for substitutions and we realize some places do that, but the waitress removed it since we didn't receive them.

I know that it's tough opening a new restaurant, getting everyone trained and making sure things flow. We'll give them a little time to work those kinks out and then we'll give them another shot.

Thanks, FCEddie! We are heading to Nashville next week so we'll try to check it out. I apologize for the near pirate-like speak in my previous post. I was typing on my phone and I'm not good at type nor proofing on that small a screen. :-/
