They were showing what you get for the money ($500K) type of thing in different cities and showed a house in Decatur (for sale)

They praised the low property tax but did say the schools were not the best.

No kidding...thanks for the alert, Keeper! There are some half-million-dollar houses here...even a few million-dollar ones, with land...but not many. Man, just what we need, a poor opinion of our schools broadcast across the nation.

At a meeting I was at tonight, someone said the house in the video is actually near Danville, Alabama. That is about 10 or so miles from Decatur. Schools are Morgan County Schools.

Charles, you know that old phrase "I'm no rocket scientist but..." Here, your next door neighbor IS a rocket scientist. You should see our school science fairs!

I was in Michigan and one lady was talking about how bad the schools are here because of low taxes. Funny, they have high taxes and no jobs. I will keep my bad education and good work ethics and my very good paying job and they can keep their good education and high tax no job economy.

I'm having deja vu. Could that have been a re-run? The same exact thing happened about 6 months ago, also featuring real estate in Decatur and bashing the schools. The "real estate expert" was then forced to apologize to the city and make some other remarks a few days later after everyone in the area complained. That would be strange for the same exact thing to be happening again so soon. However I was attacked on another message board for stating how educated the Huntsville area was and that the schools were not horrible. I was told I was stupid and naive and a bad mother if I let my kids go to school down here. I think it just makes all of the unemployed and over taxed in the north feel better about themselves to take that route.

My thoughts exactly.
