I have not been to either park and was wondering if anyone had any input. My brother wants to take my daughter to Point Mallard for the day and while I love the idea, I have heard not so great things about it so am a little cautious. What kind of crowd should I expect? Are there good rides for toddlers? What about Southern Adventures? Which do you recommend? Thanks!

I like Point mallard. It is a small water park with a wave pool, diving pool, a raft slide and two other slide that are a five minute walk away. There is also a beach area and swimming in the Tennessee River. It is usually not that crowed, but it is a nice little park worth attending.

My daughter and niece take their children frequently and they're both pretty cautious of where they take their kids. Just don't let the kids wander.

Daughter takes her 3-year-old to Point Mallard. There is a very nice splash area for the little ones. There are no "rides" unless you count the waterslides as rides, and I doubt the 3-year-old would be big enough to go one one.

Southern Adventures is probably easier to manage with small kids just because it's a small park. Good for 2-3 hour visit.

Point Mallard has more to do, but it is more of an undertaking. Better for a longer visit.
