Florence is a nice medium-sized city. It has a large main street, the Tennessee River and it is a college town. It also has a some good restaurants. Also, starting in March, I believe, it has an arts and crafts show and entertainment on the main street on the first Friday of each month. As in every city, it has nice areas and not so nice areas. You really have to visit to see if you would like it.
As for transferring to another Lowes, there are many Lowes in Alabama; Huntsville has a Lowes and Guntersville does too, just to name a couple.
Good luck in your search.

Thanks for the input. Its really just a thought and if it appens, wont be right away. But I do plan on visiting out there possibly in the late spring, checking things out, get an idea of what Alabama is like, up close. So far Ive been impressed with everything I reald/hear.

I know one thing is to drive around in the evening. Here, during the day, it is so beautiful.. It is the historic part of town. You would think you'd love to live here if you visited during the day.. but visit at night and you will see the gangs hanging around outside and the sounds of the police and yelling and fighting. So drive at nite. That's what I plan on doing next time.

Wow, these are some amazing pictures from around Huntsville. I really like the scenes. I've been up on the Monte Sano Mountain area and it's beautiful. The apartments I'm considering moving into are called Monte Sano Terrace Apartments, but I'm still looking around..I'd like to end up off of University Road if possible. Anyways, great pictures and I can't wait to check out some of those areas for myself!

I used to live in some apartments on Monte Sano, they might have been Monte Sano Terrace. That was in 1993-1995. I loved living on the moutain! I used to hike in the state park before going to work in the afternoon. I loved living in Huntsville! I want to move back there someday, maybe when I retire.

That's kool, Vvixen. My boyfriend is from there and he likes it a lot. I'm enjoying getting to know Huntsville, applying to the different schools there, and going apartment hunting. Did you ever check out this place called the Flying Monkey. Hmmm, I don't know if it was around during the time you were there because the building it is in use to be a factory. I like going to the Big Springs Park. It's really nice.
