Question... Is there a place around Huntsville to buy Kegs of beer? I know of one place on the Arsenal but I would rather not have to go that route. My friend is getting married this weekend and apparently they didn't plan ahead so now they are stuck. Thanks!

I would call Wal-Mart if I were you. When I worked at one in Florida, we sold kegs of beer.

You might also want to call a local beer distributor and ask them what stores sell kegs. They are the one's who deliver the beer so they would know.

Supeme Beverage (256) 434-1482
Turner Beverage (256) 852-2183

If you want to do local beer, call Straight to Ale brewery.

Just about every liquor store used to sell beer too.

I know that Wal-Marts in Florida sell kegs of beer but the ones in Alabama definitely don't. However didn't think about the local breweries!

I am the North Alabama Sales Manager for Alabev, distributor of all three of Huntsville's local breweries: Straight to Ale, Yellowhammer, and Blue Pants. By law, you cannot purchase kegs direct from suppliers (breweries), or wholesalers (me). You must go through a retailer. The best place to buy kegs to go in town is Liquor Express at Pratt and Church, especially if you are looking for something besides Bud, Miller, or Coors type stuff. The Windmill Beverages and Great Spirits may be options as well.

Good answer!

I was suggesting he call the distributors so they could tell him where to buy, but you did it.

I will keep this in mind for future reference.

I wouldn't wast time price shopping. I'm sure their the same price just about everywhere. Get it where it's most convenient.

There isn't a whole lot of markup in the beer anyway.

I used to sell beer for a distributor.

The resellers get more money when they buy in bulk.
