to bad a real nice place doesn't open up
but then again, in this society where people don't care about quality food, i guess places like this open up

we miss the real good resturants, like the Handle Bar (pre and post chef Ramsey eras), the Butcher Shoppe (awesome place in orlando), etc...

but then again.... we dont care
we hardly ever eat out
can't get quality food, let alone scares me that some meth head or illegal is preparring food

This is the one bright spot I see.

This is my main problem with this area. There are a few, but they are far between.

I have to agree. Seems mediocrity and big portions trump quality every time. I really wish there was more support for more local, non-chain businesses of all kinds here. Again, one can dream!

When it comes to my taste palate, the only opinion that counts is mine

Haha!

Chuck Wagon is very good, Cowboy Mike and his family do a good job...when they are open.

I have always hated his hours, they never seem to be open when I go, they are always on vacation. I know the building is old and he has had numerous and expensive plumbing problems since he opened. The problem is that whenever he expands his hours, people stop showing up!

I eat BBQ all over town, I never just go to one place. Gibsons, Thomas P, Smokeys, Whitts, Jim N Nicks, Greenbrier all have varying qualities and taste, but I get in the mood for all varieties.

Anyway some good local places are 1892 in 5pts and Main Street in Madison, Albany Bistro in Decatur is awesome, but it's in Decatur. Below the Radar is an awesome pub downtown, it just officially opened in August and it has great food, something like you would see on Triple D. Everything is fresh and made there, quality and value too, I don't know how that works, but it does!

I understand why Cheddar's does well, I mean I KNOW why, but I just don't get behind it.

And as all of you should know by now, I really eat at CFA a lot, so on some level I think I am just as bad.

But yeah, try and support local business you guys!
