Golden rod!
Hubby is allergic to it...fall and spring are his rough seasons.

Hmmmm, interesting. My daughter had the same thing this last week. Her glands were so swollen the Dr had her out all week. Even after 5 days she was still complaining of a sore throat...maybe I should look into the possibility that allergies are the root cause.

She never had allergies in the past, so I didn't even think it was a possibility.

If I figure anything out, I will let you know.

I never had sinus infections or ear infections until I moved here. And I never had strep throat until I moved here, either.

I wonder if you are confusing goldenrod and ragweed? Ragweed causes hayfever while true goldenrod doesn't. Much of what many think is ragweed is actually goldenrod. They bloom interwined in the fields. Goldenrod is a beautiful perennial that is often planted in gardens for its gorgeous colors. Ragweed isn't so nice looking.

I'm allergic to so much stuff here it's not even funny. But, the pros still outweigh the cons IMO. I really enjoy it here. But I admit I might as well buy stock in the companies that make Claritin and Benadryl. It's not so bad as long as I take my drugs when I am reacting to something. If I try to ignore it I get nasty sinus infections.
