I live in a neighborhood that does not allow storage buildings and my garage is the only storage space in my house. I would like to find approximately 2 acres, within 20 miles of Owens Cross Roads, where I can build a storage building, cut firewood, and do redneck stuff. With my intended use, does anyone know of a VERY low cost area for a couple acres?

Have you considered any land around the Arab area? Last time I was in Arad, there was plenty of empty space surrounding the area. I think it would be a good investment, especially if that quiet little town takes off now that alcohol can be served and will probably begin to expand outwards quite rapidly.

try valleymls.com

It's the multiple listing site. Very easy to do a search.

I have the same restriction and that is a very good idea you have!

@huffbuffer... good tip. I did not think of Arab and it did not show up in MLS search for Madison County (since it is in Marshall).

@MrBobo... I will let you know if I find something and how it goes.

There is a lot of land around Arab but the area itself also includes Marshall, Cullman and Morgan county. There is also land available around Union Grove and Morgan city. Vacant land is running around 7K IIRC

Thanks for the county info for Arab. What does IIRC mean?
