I haven't noticed a Starbucks downtown, but I might be wrong. That's always a plus (not having one.) In fact, Kaffee Klatch rocks. When I was looking online for really nice coffee that I could order over the internet, I noticed one with the same name, but it was here. Yep, one of the big places to order good coffee over the internet is actually local to us.

Doesn't Chattanooga's downtown have mountains adjacent? Or did they replace their downtown with an IMAX?

Well, Lookout Mountain is a little far away thru an industrial area, and then there are some mountains to the west on the other side of the big river. To me, it seems a little different in Huntsville but not a big deal either way.

All I know is everybody I took up that road up Monte Sano starting from California street (I think) thought it was AWESOME.

I don't think anybody would describe downtown Nooga as a village type of atmosphere, though. LOL It has still has a gritty feel to it even after the yuppie redevelopment. It's cool just a lot different from Hville.

I guess i am inthe minority when it comes to Downtown Huntsville. I don't think its bad but I don't think Downtown is nothing to brag about either. I love skylines and IMO gives a city character.

I think our Downtown is outdated and lacks progression. For a city that is almost at 200,000 residents our downtown looks like a complete joke. I do love Big Spring Park and the new developments with VBC/Embassy area but Huntsville's downtown have a long way to go in that department.
