Frankly surprised I haven't seen discussion of this. Would be outstanding if HSV landed this:

My husband works for Boeing. Great company, treats their employees right. We know several who have been with the company 40+ years.

This could be a huge win for the state and city! My airline is already about to receive the first US made Airbus made down in Mobile. Would be great to have Boeing's manufactured in the state as well!

Yeah.. saw this on the news too. It would be great. Huntsville needs to do what is required to get them to choose here and not blow it out of the water. Wonderful for the local population and economy.

California is a union state and not right to work. From several articles I have read, Boeing is going to looking to go away from forced union, which is what killed the Washington location. HSV's stiffest competition is not in California, its Charleston IMO.

The one reason Boeing might choose S.C over Huntsville is that we are land locked. These planes will need to be shipped so for that reason alone Huntsville will need to fight hard.

I don't think California has a chance, a lot of Boeing jobs moved out of California and even Northrop Grumman moved their headquarters a few years ago

This would be huge for the city. Is that tract of land that has been "pre-authorized" or whatever it was after we lost the VW plant in play for this deal I wonder?

No, Boeing currently has many unused acres near the HSV airport, off of Boeing Blvd. Logistically, it seems like it would be the most sense for them to have their manufacturing located there as well.
