that has been dead for several years now, security issues across Redstone. Besides if aldont is involved
the existing trees will be considered old growth if they ever got around to it.
Want to see where aldot is spending money, I-85 east of Montgomery, the worlds tallest overpass/interchange, you will be able to see Atlanta. Meanwhile funded 15 year delayed relative simple overpasses at Moores Mill and Shields continue to be a dream. aldot knows Huntsville can be screwed and like it.

Southern bypass isn't totally dead. Sure, no sign of life, but not declared dead.

IMHO, the Northern Bypass and the Eastern Bypass would make great improvements for Huntsville. I would also like to see it stimulate growth in Gurley and along US-72 E towards Chattanooga someday.

There has been proposals concerning a Northern Arc for Atlanta for decades and I am excited to discover Today that it is finally moving forward as SR 20 Improvements from Canton to Cumming (I-575 to SR 400).

Going across the Arsenal is dead but the Southern Bypass isn't. New concept is to go along the eastern side of the Arsenal as described earlier.

Great post! Could not agree more Mr Mizzou. But are you sure you do not want to pay state taxes? I think when you cross state line the roads turn to dirt and gravel. Let me double check tho.

I'm fans of these two (actually everything on the list will help). I just wish they would go ahead and include an overpass at Winchester Road.

I'm sure it's next on the list.

Why do overpasses cost so much?

It seems like such a large amount. Heck, did the bridge over the Tennessee River cost in the billions?

It's called greed. I'd love to see the profit margin numbers on these highway contractors

It isn't as much the contractors as it is the state. I have read that just having ALDOT involved in a project ends up adding at least 20-30% in cost due to red tape and delays.
