Our family is partial to Casa Blanca on Sotuh Parkway. I don't care for Rosie's and have been disappointed in portions and taste the 2-3 times I've eaten there. I love Phil Sandoval's but don't eat there often.

Funny with the Rosie/Phil connection...........I think Rosie's is just not adequate at all and I love Phil's. One would think they would appeal to the same people a little more.

The service at Phil's is so much friendlier and attentive also in my opinion.

Aren't they both owned by the same people? Rosie's and Phil?

Rosie's is "Whitesican" or "Campbell's Soup Mexican." Lame enough, and non-Mexican enough, that it's the perfect place for a contractor to take you to lunch. Feh!

El Cazador is about as authentic as you're going to get in Huntsville. If you want really good, authentic Mexican (and even some South American) food, head up to one of the many joints along Nolensville Rd. in Nashville.

I think both Rosie's and Phil's offer pretty good food, but it's not what I call Mexican. They serve foods that are influenced by south of the border spices but it's way too bland for me when I'm really hankering Mexican.

For me it's...
  • Shredded beef tacos, tacos de lengua, and horchata from El Cazador
  • Bean tostadas and no carne burrito from Bandito
  • Pork enchiladas from Phil Sandoval's

My understanding as an outsider is that they were one business that was split. (perhaps a family feud, they happen)

added; and those people who dismiss them as basically the same............sure had better luck at Rosie's than I ever did. Such as tasteless salsa. Not so at Phil's.
