Saw where they put up the temp sign at the Kroger at Jeff Road/72.

Can't remember who exactly has been pining for a Popeyes on this side of town, but I'm sure they are some happy campers

Haha!! We have a few, but they are on the other side of HSV from the Madison area.....so its been on many people's wish lists.

My son is SO excited, he loves Popeyes and fried chicken is something I just don't attempt to make myself

I have a recipe that's very similar to Popeye's (except I make it much hotter.) I just hate how long it takes to put it all together and frying chicken is messy, at least when I do it. I'm glad to let the good people at Popeye's cook it and I think their prices are a bargain.

Me too!

If you have ever seen "The Help", its a bit like Cecilia beating that chicken to death in the bag....except I don't have Minny to help me. Its quite comical, I just finally gave up!

True story: When my mom was on chemo, the only food she could stand to eat was Popeye's.

Too late, though, they've moved to Atlanta.
