Mello Mushroom has tables out front and looks like they are putting on finishing touches. May be this is the week. I almost stopped and asked but did not have time.

Default Big Ed's, Baby!

Yes, Big Ed's is THE place for pizza in Huntsville. Great pizza, lousy service. They're always swamped and I believe they're closed on Monday. Call ahead to be sure they're open - they're closed one day for sure and perhaps another for lunch but open for dinner. We moved here from Phoenix where they do have good pizza places and this is the best we've found locally. Just don't go there when you're in a hurry and you might want to order an appetizer up front.

I tried them one day and was not impressed. I will have to try again.

some people swear by Big Ed's but the reports I've gotten have been mixed.

I'll put it on the list and see if I can get out in the next week or so. Need to see about Mellow's opening day.
