Mmmmmmmmm....bacon dreamcatcher...

I'm old with a few health issues, but oddly, given the way I eat, I have great, great great cholesterol levels.

Bring on the Pizza burger! Will have to try that this weekend.

It's health food, right?

Oh I forgot to add to this thread the recommendation for pizza at Pane e Vino at the Huntsville Museum of Art. That is, IF you like gourmet froo-froo pizza. It's very good.

"gourmet froo-froo" - what exactly is this Jenn?

What are the sizes of pizza? Euro-style individual or usual 12, 16, 18?

Sauce - how is it?

Toppings - do they have normal meat toppings? pepperoni, canadian bacon/ham, meatball?

Thanks, was planning on going to tonight.

Didn't hear from ZenJenn, but went anyway.

Sizes - the Euro individual style.

Crust - pretty good.

Topping choices were pretty good, pizzas are $9 plus $1 for toppings, or $12 if you get one of their specials.

All in all - very good pizza. Sort of Tortora-ish, but a bit more expensive.

Service was excellent. Loved the art.

Another vote for Pano e Vino. Ate lunch there Friday and it was excellent. We had pizza, but the salads others were having looked great.

From looking at the menu, I expected Italian-style thin-crust small pizzas, but the crusts are thicker and more typical American style. The pizzas are also much larger than an Italian individual type, certainly too much for me to eat in one sitting.

This is my new favorite pizza in town. It's also a nice atmosphere, especially the alfresco option by the duck pond.

Wow, in Huntsville twice in 3 weeks!
Found myself downtown yesterday and had a late lunch at Sam and Greg's--my first time there. Lunch crowd was over so I was helped immediately. I was alone so I got the small meat lovers. (I usually have that the first time I'm at a pizza place--most all places have them, they are generally alike, pretty basic, and gives me a relatively consistent base-line upon which to compare pizzas...and for some reason, my cholesterol is still insanely good.)

Got it quickly--was able to order, get it, and eat it quickly enough to get back to my car parked out front in the 30 minute parking zone with 2 minutes to spare.

Like the pizza very well--liked the crisp crust...I thought it was the best pizza I've had in Huntsville. I liked it better than Mellow Mushroom's...MM's seemed a little sweet to my tastes.

Anyway, I thought it will be worth a trip back.

Good "mom/pop" type place hubby and then us tried is Joe's in Woodville, on 72 in between Gurley and Scottsboro. It's merely a shack, but it tastes just like homemade pizza.

I fanaly ate at MM in Providence Friday night. Service was great. Pizza was ok. My wife pointed toward the corner near Tony's and said Tony's was the best. MM taste better in Franklin Tn. I guess it is Tony's for now. If Mama ain't happy...No body's happy.
