I'm trying to plan a trip (12.18.14 - 12.20.14) and it's cheaper to fly into Atlanta and out of Birmingham. My challenge is the rental car. It is very expensive to rent from one airport and deliver to another. Is there a shuttle service that is around as an alternative?

Is it that much cheaper to fly into Atlanta and out of B'ham than it is just to fly in and out of Huntsville? The inconvenience seems to outweigh a LOT of cost differential, not to mention the cost of getting from one town to another.

I have a friend who managed to get a Delta flight out of Huntsville during the Thanksgiving holidays for less than in Atlanta or Bham. Maybe he was just lucky
