Funny, there really isn't what I would consider a rush hour in Arab maybe a 20 cars on the main road. Once you get close to H'ville RSA it would be 6-7 for the arsenal and 7-8 for ppl who work outside the arsenal. I don't know how backed up the road gets going into the arsenal at that gate. Maybe someone can tell you, but there are a lot of gates. My neighbor seems to work 7-3 and he gets home no later than 3:30. He leaves at 6:30 for work

Rush hour - 7:15-8:30 AM and 4:30-6:00 PM. Rush hour here is a laugh if you've ever lived in larger markets (we lived in Raleigh-Durham, Atlanta, Dallas, Orlando and Austin), though I certainly understand that it can be a much bigger issue to long-time residents who haven't been accustomed to so many cars on the road at one time. That's changed forever, though, and commute times will likely grow longer over the coming years as more and more people move here. Like all rapidly growing markets, there will be road work that seems never-ending to complicate traffic. Still, of all the places we've lived we wouldn't trade Huntsville for anything. Love it.

I live in Harvest, close to the Harvest / Madison line and it should take you no longer than 30 mins to get to the main gate of the Arsenal. There are a good amount of people in my subdivision that works on the Aresenal and Research Park.
There really isn't a rush hour like you are used to. Traffic does get heavy, but the main thing is, it moves. The main traffic in the morning is due to schools, they all start at the same time typically. It is hard to take side roads and backroads because there seems to be a school on every one of them. So after 8:00 traffic already starts to wind down. Then around 5:00 - 5:30 traffic starts picking up again, but like I said it does flow. |

Madison, Harvest, Monrovia, Meridianville, Huntsville, some of New Market addresses, Toney, Decatur, some of Athens addresses. Unless you are working on the Arsenal, Arab is probably not a possibility. But if so, you have easy access from Arab, across the TN River and into the gate on the SE end of Redstone.
