Now, I don't know everything (shocking, yes, but true LOL!), but I get the impression you almost have to be invited into a hunt club. There are many, many clubs that hunt in the southern part of the state, and some in rural Tennessee. They can be as simple as a group of guys who pool money to park an old mobile home on a piece of rented land to elaborate as hundreds of acres with a lodge. I am willing to bet that MOST of the posters here don't hunt. I don't, but I know some folks who do. You'll probably have better luck once you get there to ask around. Occasionally I see ads for club members...seems like it's usually in the spring or summer. Hunting is a fine, old Alabama tradition. Good luck!

Your are pretty much on track Southlander. Deer seasons ends 01/31. Every club we have been associated with you needed members to sponsor you once an opening was available. Hang out at the local gun shops, skeet ranges ...

Also, check the corkboards at the local mom and pop restaurants around the area--oftentimes new clubs will post notices there.
