WHAAAAA?

I did not know that.

Of course, there isn't an ACE anywhere near here.

Saw on TV the latest BPS in Memphis in that black pyramid building. Think it was a convention center before but sat empty for a long time. What a grand place it is! It even has indoor lake to try out your boats!

The new owners of MSM, which also are the developers of the downtown project by Big Spring and the Whole Foods mall on the Parkway, have a colorful history in the real estate development world, and the business world in general. I hate to say it but I'm skeptical they can keep all these balls in the air.

Demolish everything but Sears, Penneys, Theater, Holiday Inn and the old Belks.
Create a "Grove" heavily shaded landscaped greenways that will encircle (outer circle, inner circle) and cross the property connecting the existing restaurants and remaining buildings.
Von Mauer takes over the Belk location.
Trader Joes, could move in another space that would be worthy of saving
A lazy river alongside portions of the inner greenway.
5-8 new eateries all along the greenway to create plazas outdoor seating.
2, 4 level parking decks to reduce the amount of asphalt wasteland.
a multilevel office tower that would have, convention/meeting space.
an electric tram for shuttling people who don't want to walk.
A new dedicated exit off Research Park( before the University drive exit)
Second hotel
Condo/apartment tower(6-8 floors)
Cater heavily to Research Park in the design and amenities

I was thinking the same thing. How many times have they tried to get BPS going at the 65/565 location, and failed? Although, I'm not sure if the MSM location has enough traffic.

I imagine the city will have to grow quite a bit for Bass Pro Shops to come now that Cabela's is there.
