I remember when I moved to my new house, near OMP and Slaughter, they had Chester's Chicken as well, but RIGHT after I bought the place, they stopped selling it, but I was told they baked theirs and the Shell FRIED theirs and it was better and if I remember correctly I went to try it and they had stopped doing it, sometime in the last year or two.

I had a guy that worked for me swear by the chicken at the Shell station at US 31 and Alabama 20 in Decatur.

They're still frying chicken (Chester's Fried Chicken) there; I go there for lunch sometimes. They also have some great corndogs, potato wedges, and BBQ chicken/pork sandwiches.
