Figured that some places would have that problem. I ran across similar stuff a few times when I worked in the industry. "Purple Rain" was one, and there was another that I don't remember the name of where there were shots fired. Had a kid running away from some gang go through a glass door once, too. Not pretty but at least it was an easily stitched surgical incision for him from the glass instead of a severe beating.

just some damn kids letting a movie hype up their ego. Bridge Street should have have restricted "Straight out of Compton" showings to daylight hours or not show it at all.

They can't. The film company contracts absolutely don't allow it. Also, theatres often can't get out of showing certain films unless they want to risk being taken off-service by that distributor. The issue with Compton was the distrib not wanting to pay for added security. Personally I hope the distrib gets hit with a lawsuit or ten over that.

Concealing the truth of the events is not going to engender belief or a sense of well being from the public.
This new way of handling the news of events is not a good thing.

Rumor is usually far worse. So they should come up with some statements because the people that were there have started talking and so far it is not pretty.

More mob violence. I will neglect to tell you what groups were involved.

Sigh.........Another day full of stereotypical actions by some, and stereotypical reactions by others.

Here's a thought: be original. Don't incite violence for no reason at all, or in response to a movie or song, and the public won't shame the perps as being "part of the problem".
