That is the ugliest building. At least it will be dark in the theater.

Curious as to the quality of the sound and projector. I have a feeling it will be budget low end quality.

I've been to a lot of different theaters. Chains, locally owned (both good and bad). Based on what I've seen about this small little chain, because I've been to the one in Jackson, TN, I'll hold to my opinion. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Is there something wrong with that?

Yes. Opinion should be based on facts, not speculation.

Opinion is simply that - opinion. It is pretty obvious in the political arena that "facts" are few and far between.

Ambrish is a shrewd businessman. With digital, the projection is pretty standard. As long as the lamps and lenses are properly aligned, you're good to go. Sound... let's just say that I'm not impressed by any of the sound systems I've heard in the area (or maybe just how they are run).

(FWIW, most of the problems with film projection was not the projectors as much as the operators. State of the art for projectors was reached in the 1940s and didn't change significantly after that. Many theatres used projectors built in the 1950s right up to the end of film.)

My guess would be if Ambrish was to push to save money it might be on the seating. That has been the traditional way to go in cheap. However, the recent upgrades in seating at local theatres may have him not doing that. It'll be interesting to see.

Forget sound and projection and seating; I am wondering what is going on that cleared lot behind the theater. Anyone know?
