DG, I am a lifelong Georgian, and my mother and grandmother baked all sorts of cakes, pies, and cookies, but I never saw a popover until my MIL in upstate New York made them. (Never saw a bagel until I went to New York, either).

I like Yorkshires better myself (made some about a month ago). Like other poster said, I've never seen anyone down here make them (even popovers) but in New England, my grandmother made them frequently.
(Not going to usurp thread)

zodnmic,

Where did you end up? We are a year out moving to the area. Didn't make it to Deactur on my two visits unfortunately and now I am thinking I might have liked it. Just curious as to if you ended up there and if you liked it. Lived in ND too, where were you there? We went from really to cold ND to Edwards
