Also planned is another hotel (Residence Inn most likely) at City Centre, one at Constellation, Home 2 Suites at Madison Town Center and Fairfield on Madison Blvd. There are others in the pipeline.
Still needed and anticipated is a new convention hotel downtown, maybe the VBC expansion will bring that to fruition.
The Coca Cola site would be good for such a hotel. And just across the street from the VBC.

2 traffic lights are going up on Hughes Rd. One at Gooch and one at Bradford Farms. Is the Bradford Farms light really needed?

Yes, that neighborhood is awful turning left out onto Hughes Road at times during the day. I've actually had clients nix it because of how hard it can be to get in and out.

By that standard, every neighborhood on Hughes Road needs a light which is pretty close to being the case.

It bothers me is they used the school as part of the justification for the Bradford Farms light, but there aren't crossing guards nor is there a school zone sign.

Finally! Even better news is that this parcel is going to be in the City of Madison, not Huntsville.

"The land is in Madison County outside the city limits now, but Breland spokesman Joey Ceci said it will be brought into the city of Madison."

Awesome! There's got to be more than a nail salon and mattress store there!

I love the folks on FB complaining about the loss of farmland. Because I'm sure they drive by that half mile of farmland shrouded by trees and reminisce about the cows and cornrows while getting buzzed by cars doing 60 on 72.

The master planners are also out of Nashville, which is a good sign...Nashville is rockin' right now!
