Are there any local companies that install swing sets? We purchased one from a company that isn't local, and we are looking for an installer. Any recommendations?

Sorry, never heard of one. Always just had the men in the family do it.

I don't think that's very fair. Some of those "swing sets" have a lot of wooden beams, play houses, climbing walls, etc. I watched plenty of men swear them off after working on them and cussing up a store after a short time working on some of them. Most people are fully capable of changing their own oil .... but the don't.

Well are we talking a swing set or a wooden play house with swings attached? Those are two completely different animals we are talking about. I put one of those wooden playhouse/swing/slide things together once. It took all day and I have every kind of tool known so I can see where someone wouldn't want to do that themselves, especially if you don't have the tools to make it easier. Those things have a truck load of brackets and bolts. lol It isn't that hard, it is just a lot to put together.

Not that we would ever need to put one together, but, if we did - we would have to hire someone, we have no tools to speak of, and neither of us should handle tools of any kind...we are the reason handymen/electricians/plumbers/carpenters/painters have plenty of work

Well, as a "not a spring chicken" anymore ... in my younger days, I may have tackled a regular metal swing set on my own (I had to. My ex certainly wouldn't) but nowadays.. no way. Jai may very well be female and not wanting to attempt such a thing.

It's kind of like the last gas grill I assembled, 5 hours and many colorful metaphors later we were able to cook burgers. who knew grills had 300 parts.
