My phone and Internet with Comcast has been very intermittent the last few days. There have at least two official outages since Sunday but going out 20+ times a day is ridiculous. I have a tech coming out Wednesday afternoon so I hope he has some good news.

I had the same problem a years ago where the problem went on for probably 6-8 months. It took both me and my neighbor to start complaining at the same time before the problem seemed to get fixed a couple months ago. I got the impression from the tech then that a lot of people were complaining in out neighborhood.

Note it is not just me. My neighbor also is having the same intermittent problems now.

Has anyone else in Huntsville been having intermittent problems.

BTW, both my phone and internet went down twice the last couple hours.

For people that believe in conspiracies here is a good one. I have TV, internet and home phone with Comcast. My cell phone service is with AT&T. My cell phone refuses to complete a call to Comcast's customer service. I can't call either of their numbers without getting the message "Your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and dial again." This has been going on for several days now also.

When Comcast's home phone service is down I kind of need my cell phone to call them and report the problem.

1-800-XFINITY (1-800-934-6489)
1-800-COMCAST 1-800-266-2278

I have no problem with any other 800 phone number. For example I have no problem calling AT&T's phone support 1-800-331-0500.

I have Comcast and no problems here. Could be water in on a line or node from all the rain.

What did they say when you called them?

Just got bill yesterday and have not called yet. Plan to call when I know my blood pressure can handle the spike. Unfortunately, I have to pay whatever they charge... or do without internet.

A Comcast tech came out on Wednesday. He couldn't find anything wrong. He set up another visit for someone to replace the part on the overhead cable on the pole that connects to the cable that runs to my house. This seemed possible since the problem affects both my neighbor and myself. He said it would be done within 8 hours. The tech did give me an email to contact if the fix did not solve the problem.

I called customer support on Thursday. Was told that it might take 24-72 hours for that to be done. That was only a guess since they could not confirm this was even scheduled.

Complaining to AT&T helped. They fixed the problem that prevented me from calling Comcast Customer Support on my cell phone.

The phone and internet are still intermittent. I will wait until next Monday before I might call Comcast again. Hopefully the scheduled repair will fix the problem.
