Hi,

I've tried with little success to find some really good rentals in Huntsville area. I don't know alot about the area other then it seems wonderful from online research.

I'll be attending UAH Nursing program while on active duty status in the Army over the next 2 years.

My family and I are looking for a 5br/3bath(atleast) home to rent for 2 to 2-1/2 years (would settle for 4br + home/3bath(atleast). My children will be entering 2nd, 1st, Kindergarten and PreK-3 so elementary schools are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.

If anyone can point me in the right direction or provide any helpful information that would be wonderful (Oh, I am due to begin the program in August so I'd be looking to move in 1 Aug 08).

Thank you and god bless.

Default Suprising

Hi buddiero, I'm in the Army, currently in Korea. I'm really suprised you're having a hard time finding information. There are TONS of single-family rentals in Huntsville, mostly because of BRAC. I've been researching to buy some property for rental there.

Check out ValleyMLS.com. It is a very detailed mls (multiple listing service for realtors and buyers, in case you didn't know) that will list all of the properties in town.

You can also scan all of the newspapers, but I don't think you will find a price that is worth all of the hassle you will have to go through to find something nice. The realtors will also send you lots of photographs.

If you're interested in buying, the property values don't seem to bad, and you should not have a problem selling when you leave. You can hang on to it and rent it also.

If I had to plug for anyone, check out Philip Winburn @ Rosenblum realty. He works primarily in single family rentals, and is very service oriented. He has rentals and can refer you to homes for sale as well if you are interested. Caldwell Realty is big in the Southeast and has alot of rentals on the MLS as well.

Good luck with your tour!

We live in the Piedmont area between Airport and Drake, Parkway and Whitesburg. It's Jones Valley elementary and a fantastic area to live in. We can WALK to starbucks!
