What's your thoughts on an area that has about 10 homes for sail in roughly a 3 block area priced between $58,000-$85,000. Do you think this mean a bunch of people are try to get out of Dodge? Is it where you would avoid staying for long term? Just wondering, checking for a friend.

I would guess that the area may have recently been rezoned to a different school district and parents may be trying to move into the new zone where their kids went to school the year before.

Perhaps the area had a lot of elderly residents...

In general terms, it's a bad sign. But we don't know any other details.

We really don't have enough info to know. If it's in the westside neighborhood that is near Lowe Mill, then it is folks trying to get top dollar for their houses now that investment and redevelopment has been announced. It could very well be a spate of elderly neighbors that have all decided to move or have died or a combination thereof. It could really just be coincidence - somebody has a job transfer, another lost a job and somebody moving to newer digs. It could be one house sold for more than expected and others are trying to capitalize. It could be cause someone's house was broken into and now others are scared and moving.

I'd say it's along Oakwood Avenue, between Pulaski Pike and Jordan Lane.

That area of town has never been a safe area as far as I remember, my guess is probably getting out of dodge.

I would not buy there, personally.

The Huntsville Country Club is in that area, so at one time it was nice. I'll stick with elderly residents moving on...
