Does anyone have any advice and/or experience with Hyde Homes? Their model homes are nice and their price point is quite enticing. However, I am concerned with the quality and craftsmanship five years from now. Can anyone offer any knowledge on this particular builder? I really appreciate the help. Thanks.

I think they build a pretty nice home for the money. They are building in my neighborhood (Lake Forest) off of Martin Road in SW Huntsville. I can't really say anything about their quality though because I've never sold one. We've looked at quite a few though in several of their communities and I didn't see anything that I thought would be a concern for quality.

They just started building in an established neighborhood called Colinwood Estates off of Gillespie Road in the City of Madison with homes starting in the 170's so they definitely offer an affordable price point for new construction. The only other subdivision in the City of Madison with brand new homes in that price point would be D.R. Horton's Ashbury subdivision off of County Line Road and from what I have seen I would probably choose Hyde Homes before D.R. Horton - Hyde Homes is locally owned, their corporate office is at 2101 Governors Drive in Huntsville.

I had a client do a presale with them in Ashtynn Manor and it was a positive experience. He's a single guy and only wanted small sq footage for not a lot of $. It worked out well for him. They were easy to work with at the Design Center and were quick to address any of his concerns during construction. Mike Dove did the home inspection and only found a few minor items which Hyde willingly fixed. They had my client in the house right on time.

They are relatively new builders in Huntsville. I am certain they have not been around 5 years.
