I just went on their website and sent them a message asking if that site is going to be theirs... we'll see if/when they reply.

I think I saw someone speculate about it on facebook...probably just a rumor.

As of this writing, I've not gotten a reply so there's no telling if this 'rumor' has legs...

I would keep and eye on the old Lone Star building as well.
Of course they could build a totally new building.
Will be interesting to see what becomes of the old Wintzell's Oyster House also

Do we really need another out of state chain BBQ place? Demolish the old local places and build new shiny places without a pit. Do you ever see cars lined up and out along the road almost blocking traffic on 72 to get into the chain that replaced Thomas's?

No matter - Macaroni Grille had taken a bad slide downhill.

This town is under-represented for good Italian cuisine, IMESHO.
I went to Romanos once. I ordered the chicken parmagiana dish, the chicken breast was pre-cooked and was not butterflied and/or pounded.

Chain restaurants are never the way to go if you are looking for great Italian food.

Well, they started in Birmingham before they sold out if that makes you feel any better...or worse?

That's because they were slow and didn't have a lot of space for cars to go.

Maybe. The new place never appears to have business though. I've tried it. Greasy/fatty bbq. Sauce is meh.
