Default Huntsville Land Trust Guided Hike Series

I saw an ad for this in the paper, and it looks like a lot of fun. Has anyone attended these guided hikes?

I also thought, if people were interested, attending one of these hikes might be a nice venue to meet some people from city-data. There is a mild hike scheduled for March 29th on Monte Sano.

Good idea!

I've attended local guided hikes but not with this guy on this trail (I've been on this trail many times). Good clean fun and some HSV history. Kid friendly.

Saturday, March 29 @ 10:00 am Monte Sano’s Old Railroad Bed Trail (App. 1.5 miles; Moderate)
Perfect for new hikers or the whole family! History comes alive on Monte Sano (Mountain of Health). The Old Railroad Bed Trail follows the same path as the steam locomotive that traveled from the Huntsville Depot to the Monte Sano Hotel from 1888 until 1896. Enjoy this bit of Huntsville’s past with Land Trust Board member David Young.
We especially welcome our new members to this first spring hike.
Directions to The Land Trust’s parking lot: Take Pratt Avenue east to Bankhead Parkway, cross Tollgate Road. Parking lot is ½ mile further on right. Park at south end and walk past bollards to The Land Trust Pavilion.
