I remember a joke from a couple of decades ago...American road builders will soon be out of a job as Japan has just invented a shovel that can lean against itself.

You want more taxes, nothings stopping you from writing a check.

I was really hoping for Kay Ivey to fire ALDonT director John Cooper.

It was inexcusable to delay all of the road projects in senate district 2 just because our Luv Guv got in a snit over Holtzclaw's silly billboard ad. I think it delayed the US 72 project by at least a year.

In a semi-related matter, don't forget you can head down to T-Town on Saturday and have the one and only (I hope) Luv Guv screen you for skin cancer.

So I can pay for better roads for You? Why would I do that?

While I'm against higher levels of federal income and property taxes, I don't have issue with use taxes, especially those that haven't been increased in over 2 decades. Where fuel consumption is dropping and the roads aren't paving themselves.

So we ALL pay with increased vehicle maintenance and long traffic delays.
