I was reading the Wikipedia article on Austin, Texas and came across this quote. Read it and weep.

"As of December 2016, there are 31 high-rise projects either under construction, approved or planned to be completed in Austin's downtown core between 2017 and 2020. Sixteen of those are set to rise above 400 feet (120 metres). tall, including four above 600', and eight above 500'. An additional 15 towers are slated to stand between 300' and 399' tall."

Austin is certainly larger than Huntsville by about a factor of 4, but I didn't realize how their downtown area was booming.

Gotta love that "my buildings are taller than your buildings" attitude.

I don't get why people want Huntsville to have high rise buildings downtown. It wouldn't bother me if we never have them.

What's the point of this thread? You've provided no proof that anyone wants high-rises in the HSV area, then you tell us to weep because Austin is 4 times larger than HSV and HSV has no high rises, but Austin does?

Sorry, but this thread makes zero sense....

Well, I did a quick search, here, and not a single thread title about high-rises, except yours of course....

So, basically, what you are doing is, saying that you are right and that I'm wrong because I cannot prove what you wrote to be factual? <<<< You cannot make this stuff up folks....

This is the kids of today folks.....they have no communication skills what so ever, they cannot back themselves up and have no desire to accomplish that. Kinda reminds me of the meme of "that guy at work" who tries to get out of work and trying to get out of work takes longer than actually accomplishing the job.

So, why don't you prove me wrong, show me where I Need to read a little more, and then I will....until then...your communication skills are that of a second grader....you must be proud.

Of course all of this could have been averted if you provided a link for everyone to read....instead of telling us to weep.....
