We have been doing Chinese for Christmas for 16 years, but so hard to find good Chinese out west, and end up driving across town to Airport Rd.

So we are now exploring other options.

Any ideas?

Why don’t you just stay home and cook your own Christmas meal. Let restaurants enjoy once a year off to be with families and friends.

As my friend once said "You what is on your plate, I'll eat what is on mine."

Maybe he has no choice, or maybe that's just what he wants to do. You just never know, so there's no need to be judgmental. Restaurants won't be open unless they want to be.

I don't know if they are going to be open Christmas but I've always thought that Fulin’s Asian Cuisine was good. It is located in the Target shopping center on HWY 72 just west of Wall-Triana.
Chinese - Madison, ALMadison, AL
Japanese - Madison, ALMadison, AL

Also good:

I Love Sushi off of HWY 72, just east of Balch Road.
Best Sushi in Madison, AL 35758 | Best Japnese Cuisine - I Love Sushi

Sakura Sushi & Steak House off of County Line Rd in the Publix shopping center

I'm still laughing at this response.

Do you think an entire restaurant is going to open just for me and my wife? I wish I had that kind of pull.

Also, you are from Jersey - I lived in the northeast for six years, that's where this tradition started as we started going for Chinese in honor of our favorite Christmas movie.

Anyway, have a Merry Christmas. Would you mind if we went to your house for dinner?

That movie is the first thing I think of when people talk about going out to eat for Christmas.

In the Northeast, especially in the Bos-Wash corridor and even more so within the greater NYC area, the (half) joke about going for Chinese food on Christmas is that is what the sizable Jewish community in that region does......
