Researching Internet Services (Huntsville: new house, promotional, taxes)

Hi,

My Xfinity promotional service ends February 19th:

. . . $20/mo @25 mbps - promotional rate

. . . $35/mo @25 mbps - web site claim
. . . $50/mo @?? mbps - what representative claimed

Still, they can't offer any follow-up promotional services while I'm on the one I've got. I'm patient and will call back next month.

Meanwhile, I called around and found:

. . . Mediacom - no service in South Huntsville
. . . Spectrum - no service in South Huntsville

Alternative providers who have service in my area:

. . . $40 @100 mbps WOW! - for two years, $50 @100 mbps thereafter
. . . $50 @100 mbps Google Fiber - flat rate

Elevator music, AT&T.

We have cell phone data service for slow-speed, backup. We has two adults sharing over-air broadcast, Roku, and MacTV.

Any other service I should look at?

I have WoW with no complaints.

I've got 100mbps WOW! Excepting their terrible customer service (which is par for the course in cable/internet), their product is fine. I get 100mbps all day every day.

I wanted Google fiber, but by the time I convinced them I existed (new house) I'd already signed a 24mo. contract with WOW!.
