United Launch Alliance in Decatur is in the process of moving an Atlas V booster to Cape Canaveral in Florida. It will used to launch Boeing’s Starliner crew capsule. The capsule will carry NASA and Boeing astronauts to the International Space station. This will mark the first manned spacecraft to be launched by the United States since the Space Shuttle program in ended in 2011. There will be a couple of unmanned test flights later this year (no earlier than August). The first manned flight won't take place until after that (sometime after November).

Similarly, have you heard anything about why the SpaceX crew capsule exploded in the test a few weeks ago?

It looks like neither Boeing or SpaceX will be able to launch a manned spacecraft before next year.

"SpaceX was in the process of testing both the Draco thrusters and larger SuperDraco abort thrusters in preparation for an in-flight abort test of the capsule."

"At the moment, NASA and SpaceX are still investigating the event."

"Due to the capsule's destruction, the SpaceX team will be forced to use the Crew Dragon spacecraft originally intended for the Demo-2 crewed flight test for the in-flight abort test."
