Default Athens/Harvest

Hi Everyone

I am looking to relocate to the Huntsville area with my family as well as my parents. My parents would like some acerage and I'm more interested in a tract style home. We do want to be close to eachother and there seem to be a lot of homes in Athens with acerage. Harvest seems relatively close with a lot of new homes going up.

I'm taking a 4 day trip to Huntsville on May 15th for the purpose of finding which area I want to purchase a home.

Can anyone give me any feedback on Harvest?

I'm 35 years old, married with 2 children. My husband is Latino and we currently reside in an upper/middle class area in California. We would love to find a place with some diversity, but I realize that may not be possible.

Any feedback would be great! Thanks in advance!

Hi Kiki,

The Athens/Harvest area is a good fit for what you are looking for. Part of Harvest is in Limestone County ( like Athens ) and the other part is in Madison County ( like Hsv and Madison ). I live in Harvest on the Madison County side and really like it. I am 30, married with 2 kids and we chose this area for really the elementary school right now.

This area is diverse and I don't really think you will have any problems here. There are some great subdivisions and they are close to shopping and Hsv. They are building a hospital in Madison that will be really close to the south Harvest area.

Let us know if you have anymore questions.

Toney area will also fit your needs. Also like Harvest is in both Madison county and Limestone county.

Please check into Decatur and outlying areas in Morgan County. Decatur has a good sized Latino community. Check the links in the thread at the top of the list - they give good overviews of the entire area.
