We don't consider ourselves with 'Asian culture' ... in fact, we've jokingly told our kids to avoid traditional asians... because of this practice.

We've told them that they need to marry non-Asians!

1) Current City and State? Dothan, Al.

2) Why do you want to leave? I don't really want to leave. I've been here my entire life. My husband is an accountant in the aerospace industry so he is looking for employment in Huntsville because the jobs in his field seem to be abundant there.

3) 2nd and 3rd choice cities? no other choices really

4) What’s currently holding you back from moving? no real job offer there just yet.

5) Anything else you want to tell us that we don't know? I am truly petrified of bad weather, i.e. tornadoes. I have read many forums and searched online and find that northern alabama faces a much greater threat for tornadoes than south alabama. I know, I wouldn't be affected by hurricanes up there, but I hate a thunderstorm and threat of tornadoes. I love rain though, when it's just light, drizzling rain. Kinda screwed up isn't it?

6) If already in Huntsville, what do you like, dislike, pleasant surprises, regrets? nope, still in south Alabama

southern by choice will become famous soon enoughsouthern by choice will become famous soon enough
When we lived in South Alabama a tornado went through and narrowly missed our house..... I mean that literally. Everything across the street was pretty much destroyed. (this was around Nov. 2001 ). I seem to recall alot more warnings sounded ( coming from Ft Rucker ) the years we lived there, than I ever do living here.
Dont be fearful , live where you want to live and dont limit your experiences because of "what ifs".
Good Luck....Dothan is a nice little town, but this area has tons more of just about everything I can think of, to offer !

Thank you so much for your nice comment. I guess what made me think about it was the fact that when I'm looking at real estate in that area, so many houses have storm shelters. Anyway, thanks again. And you are right, south Alabama does get it's fair share of tornadoes.
