Smile Great Barbeque in Owens Cross Roads

I was visiting my daughter and son-in-law in Huntsville last week and went over Monte Sano mountain to eat at Big Cove Bar-B-Que (adjacent the Walmart center). What a great surprise! First, the sandwiches were so big you could easily make 2 meals out of one sandwich. Secondly, the meat was very tender and with almost no fat. I've eaten barbeque all over the south and this was one of my favorites. This barbeque is better than Dreamland and Gibsons.

My husband and I went back a second time and my husband got the pinto beans and cornbread. You have got to try this!!! It is sooo good.

The owner was very friendly and the old building makes you feel like you are right in the middle of great barbeque country!

Thanks for the tip--we saw that place when we were on our house hunting trip a few weeks ago and were wondering if it was any good. We will definitely check it out.

Anyone know when someone will re-occupy the old Nikko Japanese Restaurant near Sutton and 431 in the same general location?
