Here are some photos of my drive from Hampton Cove around 730AM. School is still in session. I think you'll find traffic from Hampton Cove is a non-issue. It takes me 23 minutes to travel 18 miles.

431 Southbound a little south of Monte Sano Boulevard, view looking west

Here are afternoon shots of the ride home, taken around 5PM

That looks heavenly...all of it. You'd be nuts to leave there and ever come back here to SoCal

I am learning a lot from this thread. Does anytime fitness have a pool? I was reading the part about the "drop off line" at schools and I have a question...... why don't more kids take the bus?

No pool at "Some"time fitness (it isn't always open).
The drop off lines can be up to 25 minutes, worst case, waiting in line to pick up kids. I don't know why more kids don't take the bus. There may be a minimum distance a kid has to live to be eligible to take the bus. The good news is, a new elementary school is being built, opening Fall 2010 and that will greatly take pressure off Hampton Cove Elementary School.
At the beginning of this year there were some bus problems - not enough buses, buses missing kids. Routes were added and that problem seems to have been solved.

The Hampton Cove HOA is reasonable, communicative, and responsive. No bizarre behaviors liked described above. At the board meetings, issues concerning improving the community are discussed - definitely not a punitive culture. I've never heard a bad word about anyone on the board. They are our neighbors and are interested in maintaining the beauty of the community.

Wow. Maybe it's just perspective but I was paying $85/month for a single membership at my fitness center in Dallas. So Anytime Fitness' rates seem really affordable. I guess it boils down to what you get from them versus other competition in the area. Personally, the YMCA on Weatherly is inconvenient to us out here in The Cove. Hampton House has a nice fitness facility now - and women can workout at Curves (south of Publix). That's it for our area - that I know of.
