I'll have to explore that area. Tomorrow my daughter and I are taking the day off of sorting through our junk and heading to the Botanical Gardens. We're really looking forward to it. Then we're going to D&L for lunch and hitting the mall. We need a break from moving ----

Hubby likes to golf--is starting up as soon as he rediscovers his home office. We both love to eat --

I think we were there when everyone was standing in line outside the Apple store and we were like, why is everyone standing in line?? Any rate, now you've solved our little mystery.

Was it worth the wait?

lol. Absolutely not! I waited in line for 2 1/2 hours. I finally get up there, and they run my account. "Oh, I'm sorry sir, you have a discount with att wireless (used to be an agent at RE/MAX), so we can't sell you an iPhone today because of a bug in our system, you will have to go to the corporate store on University so they can override it. We're sorry, we've had this problem all day."

Maybe next time they will let the people in line know that tidbit of info! But, I'm still without an iPhone. Every store that carries them (2 in HSV, 1 in Decatur, 1 in Florence, 1 in Muscle Shoals, 1 in Russellville, 1 in Lawrenceburg, TN, 1 in Albertville) are ALL SOLD OUT. I guess I will have to try again tomorrow!

Today we are off to the Botanical Gardens and the mall--can't wait to see the gardens as I heard they are beautiful. And my daughter is excited about the mall in SE Hville off the parkway. (can't remember the name)

No unpacking boxes today! yay!!

Default Some new Top Five POSITIVE things about Hville/Madison

1) The amazing Botanical Gardens and their staff--almost all volunteer. We completely enjoyed our walk through the gardens, the lovely cookies we bought and munched on while traversing the paths, and the people we met along the way. Everyone was super nice and friendly and just HAPPY.
2) The mall on S.Memorial Pkway--great service and we loved our naughty fries and split grilled sub.
3) The pool--we finally got to use it! Wow! And the new neighbors we met, grandparents and kids and grandkids, young families and couples were all very nice.
4) My new kitchen--man it is a dream to work and cook in. I am finally able to enjoy the entire space and relax in it with my family.
5) This forum: it has, for the most part, been very positive and helpful to me during this transition--I think about my parents immigrating to Canada when I was four and my own subsequent moves as a teen, YA, and newly wed, new mom all those years ago and there wasn't a lifeline like this to go to for advice and support. It makes all the difference--and has been my guilty pleasure when I am sick and tired of unpacking boxes and need an escape while I am unable to work!

Botanical Gardens are very nice. I was really impressed with the it, it is beautiful and really well maintained.

Have you been to Dublin Park? Awesome city park in Madison. The tennis courts are really nice and the playground is incredible for little ones.
