Default IT jobs in Huntsville area

I have a bachelor's degree in MIS, am A+ and Network+ certified. I have been working at a poultry plant for 6 months making sure several Dell pc's are connected to the network and running alright. I want out of the poultry industry and would love to get a job around Huntsville. I think all I would be qualified for is desktop support, but I cant find any jobs. I search the job boards and apply to everything I see that I may get an interview from but no use. Ive applied to Jacobs several times for a desktop support I job but I never get called. Does anyone have any leads I could pursue or how to break into IT in Huntsville?? I live 50 miles southeast of Huntsville so I can't work 3rd shift or part time.

This may not be the answer you want to get.

An employer is not interested in your commute problems. Why would 3rd shift be a problem?
What have you done as far as education goes since graduation?
Did you catch the typos in your post? What does your resume look like?

I see one typo. I've been working since 3 months after graduation and studying to get those certifications. Third shift would be alright, but I would rather not work third. On applications I don't specify not working third shift. My resume lists my objective as " To secure a technical position in information systems with an established organization utilizing my computer skills, technical knowledge and experience." Next, I have my education and certifications. After that I list my work experience and then skills and abilites. In the skills and abilities section I have the following:

Experience with MS Operating Systems
Install and/or rebuild computers
Install other office equipment to manufacturer’s specifications
Experience with MS Office, MS Windows, MS Access, Visual Basic
Design, build and maintain Networks
Diagnose and correct computer/network/printer problems
Maintain a working system environment
Strong communication skills
Eagerness to learn new ideas and new technologies

Please talk to some fulltime IT folks. This sounds like you just got out of college. Where is the rest of it?
