Default New Development Off of County Line Rd.

If you could handpick the shops/businesses/restaurants to fill that new development off of County Line Road, what would you choose to go in there?

Here are my top 5:

1) COSTCO!!!
2) TRADER JOES--yes, I know it's going to Nashville, but I want the cheap wine and Nashville's store can't sell it due to the laws in TN
3) California Pizza Kitchen or Cheesecake Factory
4) IKEA
5) An upscale, fine dining place like Pauli's or D&L in SE Hville.

I forgot about La Madeleine--fun place! What kind of upscale stores? Clothes, household (like a pottery barn or Williams Sonoma)?

I love the idea of a TARGET, but there's one on 72 and I think one in Decatur as well.

I was disappointed with two malls here in Huntsville. I wish that they can add upscale stores like (Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, etc.) I miss going to Tysons Corner I and II in NOVA. It’s hassle driving to Birmingham or Nashville TN or Atlanta, GA to shop.

Actually, Miguk,we just drove down to Birmingham and it was a total snap! So easy!! Easier than going to Tysons Galleria/Corner (always a pain to get out of that parking lot--once it took us 30 minutes to drive from the galleria lot to the corner lot!!! crazy!) or Baltimore Inner Harbor, Downtown DC. We took I65 down and hit a couple of little places and then the Galleria. The Galleria was good for clothes (had a Macy's), but I just got a link to the Summit that you might like better for upscale shops in Bham. It's on my Bham post from yesterday. Someone put it there for me. REally nice looking area. Frankly, no traffic and beautiful tree lined highway beats I66 any day--and definitely 495 the beltway as well as I95 are horrible in comparison.

Also, have you been to Bridge Street in Huntsville? It's got some neat shops and more upscale places like what you're craving. ARe you here already or in process of moving? Check it out. It's very nice.

Thanks Dramamama! I will check it out the place. I like the Bridge Street, and I hope that they can add more stores there.

My family and I moved here a month ago, and we are somewhat settle down. We are still looking for the house since we decided not to build the house in the Legacy Cove subdivision. We are trying to stay with the Jeff Benton builder, but the locations of the Jeff Benton homes are either bad school district area or far from the Redstone Arsenal. geee...

Jeff Benton is building in Cobblestone Cove in Hampton Cove. Our friend, who works on Redstone, bought one. Excellent schools.
