Woodland Homes Question
Have finally sold our house in Atlanta and now in the area and house hunting. What is the info these days on Woodland Homes such as financial status and follow up on problems? What do you know about the new subdivision Kelly Cove and the homes they have left in Bishop Farms? Also, I am concerned about schools. Haven't heard too many good things about Sparkman. Any other views out there? Also looking at Anslee Farms and does anyone know about the builder/developer?

We purchased in Bishop Farms 2 years ago and have been pleased. Any new home will have items which need attention during the first year, and Woodland took care of all. No complaints.
Also have kids in Monrovia Elementary, Monrovia Middle, and Sparkman High. We have been pleased with all 3 schools. Sparkman may not be on the tip of everyone's tongue like Bob Jones and Grissom, but when you peel back the layers every school has it's pros and cons.

We currently are looking for homes in the area as well and have gotten great feedback on Adams built homes. Are the subdivisions that you are looking into in Madison? I'm not familiar with them. We were looking into Towne Lakes, but my concern is that it's too close to the small Triana community and just too far out from everything period.
Sparkman, from what I've heard, is a good school and just as good as Bob Jones. My husband and I are fairly new to the area and I'm trying to get a feel for the school districts myself.
Hope you get the answers you need!! I understand the need to get feedback from people already in the community..it can be very helpful.

If you are interested in Adams Homes I think there are some off of County Line road. Unfortunately, I do not have any experience with them.

Woodland Homes: To my knowledge, great with following up on warranty issues. There was a rumor several months back about Woodland Homes going bankrupt, but Mike Friday personally squashed those rumors.
Bishop Farms: There's about 6 homes left available. They are all nice homes.
Anslee Farms: I've been meaning to go out there and check it out. They seem to be doing the right things. They've hired a PR firm to get attention and seem to firmly believe in what they're doing. Their PR firm invited me to come out there, I just haven't made it. The builder is SSI Madison, LLC, but I've never heard of them.
Sparkman: I know quite a few people with kids in Sparkman. They are all very happy.
Hope it helps!

Thanks Level10!! What I did like about Anslee Farms is the homes have pizzaz and flair as opposed to the same looking homes/neighborhoods around here for the most part. More of what I am use to seeing int he Atlanta market. Ex. they put in hand scrapped floors in one and their models actually show what you get in each level. Just wish they weren't on slab and the builders around here would put flagstone on porches, etc. You get all that and more in less expensive homes there but not here. Oh well -- will keep looking .

The Parade Of Homes was this past and coming weekend. It'd be a great chance to to see how the builders showcase their homes.

^^^ thanks for that link! I've been trying to google it but couldn't find it.
My wife and I found last year's POH very helpful in helping us decide not only on which builder to go with, but what kind of features, amenities (sp) and even colors to go with. Plus it's just a lot of fun to day dream in the larger homes!
