Anyone else living in an apartment in Huntsville able to recycle? I remember when I used to live here we had blue bins to recycle but I know those were just for houses.

Is there anyway I can recycle living in an apartment? Maybe I have to just separate stuff and take it to a recycling center?

justinREA, I have the same issue. I currently live in an apartment and there is no recycling and I like to recycle. The one place I have found that recycles glass is Lowe Mill, so if I know I am going to be in that area I pack my trunk full and stop by. Now only if I could find a place that takes tin cans...

If you find a more convenient place, I would be interested.

When I have some time I will do my own research on this. I know Huntsville recycles and gives bins for homes, so I am sure you can just drop the stuff of at wherever their recycling center is.

I just really hate to throw all this stuff away, when 90% of my garbage can easily be recycled.

You can take your recycling to the Allied Waste Recyclery at 1004 A Cleaner Way. They have dumpsters in the parking lot for glass, cardboard, cans, plastic, & newspaper, so you can drop it off at any time, not just during office hours. Their phone number is 256-830-2467.
