Default Huntsville tap water

Do people drink the tap water in Huntsville? Or, do they use a brita/pur filter? Refrigerator filter only?

Drink it up sugar. Ain't no water like TN river water, and that's the truth. Get you some there minerals everybody's talking about these days. Southerners got strong and able bodies as you'll soon discover around these parts. Now, I don't know about all that if you live further away from the municipality, but if you're in Huntsville, drink up.

It was somewhat of an issue in 2007. My town, Decatur, had no restrictions, but I know Birmingham did and Huntsville had a few. That was very rare, however.
Our drinking water in Decatur is excellent. I know some people can taste and smell a bit more chlorine in it sometimes, so they use filters or drink bottled - which I find silly. Where do they think the bottled water came from?

We use fridge filter, but I don't think it tastes bad from the tap.

Maybe its just us but I cant stand the water in Huntsville, or at least the water we get here at Bridgewater apartments. Smells and tastes like it has a lot of chlorine in it. We use a brita pitcher and its alot better.

Growing up in Toney though I always thought the tap water out there was fine.

I find the taste to be much better than what we had in FL (contained chlorine and ammonia - MMMMMM...yes, really, to kill the bacteria that enjoyed the chorine...) but am still wanting to test our source for content...my dishwasher died a few weeks ago (STILL waiting for parts ordered to repair! :I The joys of home buyers insurance.) and the main cause of death was calcification of the sump pump...major mineral build-up.

I agree 33458 the water up here taste much better than FL. especially it doesn't smell as bad as it did in FL during the summer. I know there are minerals in the water here from my coffeemaker but, I don't think it is as bad as FL.

The water in our apt. does not taste good.Tastes like Chlorine. Our coffee even tasted funny until we started using bottled water. Hopefully in our new house H2O will taste better. We did buy a fridge with a water dispenser and filter.
