He did make similiar remarks that Boeing does not really have other Huntsville positions unless they start pushing people out of other programs.

Wouldn't pushing people out of other programs just be moving jobs around instead of actually preventing layoffs?
Humm.. incremental layoffs...another dubious term. I know an NG recruiter in Huntsville, and NG dissolved her position, so I guess when they 'can' the recruiter that is always a bad sign. Will this affect the new building going up on the NG campus? I suspect so.

I'm with NG on the West coast and we work alot with NG in HSV. There have been alot of phone cons and so forth with very uneasy energy. Some of the contract funding got nixed so it looks like they might be lowering the axe soon. I know that we've felt the ripple effect and are going to reduced hours starting next week (30 hours) in hopes we don't have to lay off people, but it isn't looking good.

I've been watching the news and reading the online papers. Nothing mentioned at all.
For potential issues such as these most companies' leadership ends its communications to its employees with something like: "we'll keep you informed every step of the way" or
"if there are any developments, you can be assured you'll be the first to know" or
"we will continue to keep you informed of developments".
So, I haven't heard any Boeing employees mentioning any reports from their leadership so I guess nothing is happening.

Most companies like to give out bad newson Fridays. In Boeing's case, their payroll calendar ends on a Thursday, so Friday is a new start and your last day will end on a Thursday.

The good news is that one does not expect a significant funding cut on NASA as a result. The new administration will want to put its stamp on a new project.
