I took all the relatives that were visiting over Thanksgiving weekend and everyone enjoyed it! I really enjoy that it's not all holiday-themed, that there are dinosaurs, animals, rocket ships, soldiers, fairy tales, as well as Christmas scenes, winter scenes, and of course my kids were thrilled to see a menorah and dreidel included!

My dad (retired engineer) is one of the volunteers who makes those things. If you see any jumping reindeer those are likely his, and at least one of the dinosaurs. He is branching out now and also did all the penguin light displays at Santa's Village. I think he works as hard in retirement as he did when he was paid.

I bet your dad would say it is pure fun now. Do they have security guards protecting the grounds?

There's always security and staff working. This year is the best year yet. Much more dense with lights than in years past. My wife and I walked it Thanksgiving week. That's definitely the nicest way to enjoy it. I wish they would have more walking nights throughout the season actually.

Yes..it remains on the to-do list in the coming weeks. Hubby is really interested in it. I love how there's always something going on up here, no matter what time of year. It's not something we are used to back home.

We visited the Garden earlier this week and my wife enjoyed it. As we were driving through, we turned down our headlight and turn on Xmas music in the car, made quite an ambience

This also reminds me, are there places in the Huntsville we can go and enjoy how everyone decorate their houses with Xmas lights? Back home, it's usually some street where ALL homeowners go out of their way to decorate the entire blocks with lights. It was a part of fun driving through various neighborhood enjoy everyone's creativity.
